WHITE PLAINS, NY - The National Stationery Show® (NSS) is building momentum on several social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, generating communication with and among NSS participants as the May 16-19 event approaches.

"Social media sites are becoming increasingly important for impromptu business discussion, in a world that has become accustomed to instant feedback and news," said Patti Stracher, show manager. "Websites such as Twitter, Facebook and others are helping us to communicate quickly and concisely in a way that works for busy professionals on the go."

To date, NSS has gained nearly 600 Twitter followers, attracted more than 60 Facebook fans within two days of launching, and seen nearly 3,000 hits on a YouTube video that provides an in-depth look at the 2009 show. Industry professionals can follow any of the NSS social media sites by clicking the icons located at the bottom of the NSS homepage at www.nationalstationeryshow.com.

The 64th annual National Stationery Show, the nation's leading marketplace for the social stationery industry, will run Sunday, May 16, through Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at New York City's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. The Show features nearly 1,000 exhibitors and attracts some 11,000 attendees.

The National Stationery Show is owned and managed by GLM®, LLC. Additional information and registration is available online, at www.nationalstationeryshow.com.
