CHA Announces Green Theme for 2009 Convention & Trade Show
TEXT SIZE

ELMWOOD PARK, NJ With a theme of It's Easy Being Green: Discover the Possibilities, the 2009 Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) Winter Show will help exhibitors focus on providing innovative, environmentally friendly and sustainable craft products for consumers of this emerging market.
The 'Green' Show theme was designed to help the industry take some first steps at going green and to capture some of the expanding $208 billion dollar green market. To date, 56 companies, or 14.5% of exhibitors, have increased their space over 2008, illustrating the interest in this growing product category.
"As consumers become more aware of environmental issues and demand eco-friendly products, the craft and hobby market must evolve to meet those needs" explained Steve Berger, CEO of the Craft & Hobby Association. "The Winter Show is the best place to see all these products to help increase sales and grow businesses".
Other categories featured at the show include:
* Scrapbooking & Paper Crafts: stationery, stencils, rubber stamps, supplies, tools
* Fabric/Quilting/Needlecrafts: fabrics, notions, sewing machines, embroidery, knitting & crochet
* Art Materials & Framing: brushes, paints, frames, framing supplies
* General Crafts: craft kits, beads & jewelry, containers, storage, adhesive
* Licensing & Design: designers for paper, fabric, stamps, scrapbooking, and more
